Blower sound insulation

Acoustic enclosures, inlet/outlet silencers and vibration isolation for industrial blowers and air-blast units. 25-40 dB attenuation.

TL;DR

Blower sound insulation reduces the high-frequency fan noise of industrial blowers by 25-40 dB using an acoustic enclosure, splitter silencer and vibration isolation. A standard intervention in wastewater treatment, paper mills, cement plants and other large facilities.

What is a blower? Acoustic characteristics

A blower delivers high airflow at low pressure. Roots, screw, turbo and centrifugal types exist. They produce dominant noise in the high-frequency band (1000-4000 Hz), which the ear perceives as sharp and especially annoying. Typical level 80-100 dBA.

Sectors where blowers are used

  • Wastewater treatment (aeration)
  • Paper mills
  • Cement and aggregate plants
  • Pneumatic conveying systems
  • Textile industry
  • Agriculture / fertiliser plants

Solution components

  1. Acoustic enclosure: sandwich panels with absorbent fill, tuned for high-frequency capture
  2. Inlet silencer: splitter silencer at the air intake
  3. Outlet silencer: high-frequency labyrinth on the discharge line
  4. Vibration mounts: elastomer mounts under the unit
  5. Acoustic door: Rw 35-40 dB for service
  6. Pipe and line wrap: structure-borne control on the discharge line

High-frequency band control

Blower noise has two main bands: low frequency (motor) and high frequency (fan blades). The high-frequency band is easily controlled by absorbent fill on the inside of the enclosure; the low-frequency band needs enclosure mass and vibration isolation.

Maintenance and atmosphere

Blower enclosures used in damp environments (e.g. wastewater plants) are built from moisture-resistant, corrosion-certified materials. Drain points are planned for internal condensate.

Target performance

  • Enclosure Rw: 30-42 dB
  • Airborne attenuation: 25-40 dB
  • Environmental compliance: 45-55 dBA
  • Working zone level: 75-80 dBA

Time and cost

A typical blower enclosure takes 2-4 weeks. Special site conditions (wastewater plants, large facilities) can extend the bespoke fabrication phase.

Certification

All panels and silencers are EN 13501-1 A2-s1, d0 fire-classified, EN ISO 7235 silencer-rated, EN ISO 11820 site-measurement certified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Blower soundproofing — which materials do you use?
Depending on project requirements, we use acoustic foam, barrier-backed foam, lead/EPDM barrier, elastomeric rubber, rock wool and double-layer plasterboard systems. All our materials carry international fire-resistance certifications.
How much noise reduction do I get after the application?
It varies according to the existing structure, the adjacent noise level and the target use. Typical residential applications achieve 25-40 dB and industrial projects 35-55 dB. The exact value is confirmed by acoustic measurement.
Do I need to move my existing furniture?
It is enough to clear sufficient space so we can work in the application area. Our installation team takes protective measures for furniture; for small applications minimal rearrangement is sufficient.
How can I request a quote?
You can reach us by phone (+90 530 044 09 90), WhatsApp or our contact form. After a brief conversation we schedule an on-site survey.
