Modular acoustic panel systems are factory-made sandwich acoustic panels assembled on site, designed for fast and flexible deployment in industrial spaces. With 60 / 100 / 120 cm standard modules they deliver insertion loss 20-30 dB and NRC 0.80-0.95. Fit into existing buildings, can be demounted and relocated, and adapt to process changes.
What is a modular acoustic panel system?
A modular system is a build for industrial enclosures, cabins, sound barriers or machine separator walls assembled from prefabricated panels (modules). Each module has a steel outer face, mineral wool fill and a perforated inner face — a certified whole. Acoustic gaskets between modules deliver continuous sealing.
Module types
- Sandwich acoustic panel: standard module 60-120 cm
- Acoustic service door module
- Acoustic window module (observation)
- Inlet/outlet silencer module
- Corner and pipe-passage modules
- Ceiling and roof modules
Technical data
- Module size: 60×240, 100×240, 120×300 cm
- Thickness: 50 / 75 / 100 / 150 mm
- Fill: mineral wool 60-100 kg/m³
- Surface: galvanised, stainless, painted, Magnelis
- Rw: 30-45 dB (module class)
- NRC: 0.80-0.95
- Fire class: A1 / A2-s1, d0
Where it is used
- Enclosures around industrial machines
- Noise-zone separator walls within a production line
- Acoustic ceilings under roof voids
- Sound barriers for outdoor machinery areas
- Pre-built rooms for test laboratories
- Modular control cabins and operations rooms
Advantages of the modular system
- Fast install (fewer site days)
- Demountable and movable — relocate when the factory layout changes
- Modules added/removed for process changes
- Certified module = predictable on-site performance
- Factory-quality production beats site-built
Design criteria
The target insertion loss (IL) drives the module class. Junction gasketing and detail sealing govern the performance achieved on site. Modular silencers and doors are added for cooling and service.
