Elastomeric rubber foam panel is a closed-cell synthetic rubber product that absorbs vibration and impact energy. With a tunable dynamic stiffness of 8-25 MN/m³ it gives strong low-frequency performance in floating floors, under-machine vibration isolation and sensitive-floor applications.
What is elastomeric rubber foam panel?
An elastomeric panel made from synthetic EPDM/NBR-based closed-cell rubber with high rebound resilience. Much more flexible than granulated rubber — delivering superior damping under low-frequency vibration and impact loads.
Technical data
- Density: 80-200 kg/m³ (cell-structure dependent)
- Thickness: 8 / 12 / 15 / 25 / 40 mm
- Size: 100×100 cm panels or 1×10 m rolls
- Dynamic stiffness: 8-25 MN/m³
- Compression set: low (long-life elasticity)
- Temperature range: -30 °C / +90 °C
- Fire class: BS 476 Class 0, EN 13501 B-s2, d0
Where it is used
- MEP rooms and under-machine vibration isolation
- Pads under generators, chillers and compressors
- Fitness and CrossFit floor impact isolation
- Studio float-floor systems (low frequency)
- Cinema stage and audience platform floors
- Sensitive-lab and measurement-room floors
Advantages
- Superior at low-frequency vibration absorption
- High rebound — long service life
- Resistant to oil, fuel and humidity
- Does not lose its properties under compression
- Lighter than standard rubber mat
Installation
Laid directly beneath the vibration source or as a floating-floor layer over a cleaned floor. A 1 cm movement margin is kept at the edges; PE foil and reinforced screed go on top (for floating-floor use). Under-machine applications take a steel plate or concrete pad on top of the panel.
